Redeeming qualities of Houma, Louisiana

First of all, let me mention that I had to actually sit down and write 5 pages with pen and paper while in Houma because finding much technology there is like finding a needle in a haystack. I had a bajillion thoughts flitting between my ears, and I had to get them out. When I have a few moments, I will eventually sit down and transcribe the thoughts I was having at the time.

Secondly, here is the list of redeeming qualities I discovered in the tiny little armpit called Houma. (Not a fan of small towns, btw...)

1. The drive-through daquiri store that was open at 11 on a Sunday morning. (SCORE!)
2. The food. (They can cook!)
3. Sandbagging
4. Long red lights (don't ask...)

I am glad to be home, but honestly, in retrospect, it wasn't all THAT bad...

You must be talking about the Daiquiri Shop on Grand Caillou Rd. Pretty cool place! I'm a former resident of Houma, spent many years down there, great bunch of people down there, not a whole lot to do unless you're a hunter, fisher, or big drinker. Mardi Gras there is great. The Krewe of Cleopatra really rocks, get down there for that if you can. Food, unbelievable that's why I'm fat today. Sandbagging??? Long red lights I understand. I used to date a girl from there that loved making out at every red light we stopped at, wow! Those were the days. I believe she actually lives here in Houston now. Houma is foreign land but a great group of folks. Glad you're home!!!

Ummm... pretty much when hell freezes over...

There are too many of her friends who just don't like me (and who, sadly are aware of my blog) to post any juicy stories that could come back and bite me in the ass...

You're right, I should. Unfortunately, however, I also work with many of them... and I don't need my professional life any more complicated than it already is...

I am hoping to some day post some of the, um, "juicier" things I've written (elsewhere) to this blog... have patience 'til then, sweet teen...
